Here are pictures of my Currie Bonner bridesmaid dresses. Don't you just love them! The dress color is
celedon green
dupioni silk and the satin ribbon sash is ivory. They make me smile every time I see them! I need help. What color shoes should I suggest that my girls wear? Originally I just told them a neutral color and I
recommended a j
crew shoe in pale gold. ( I like
this one and
this one in gold and
this one in ivory.) But, I think I need to specify color a little bit more as some girls want to wear ivory and others bright gold and others silver. Help! I don't want them to have to buy shoes, but I would like the shoes to be pretty similar. I also want to make sure that if they don't already own the color I tell them to get that they can wear it again. Anyone have an idea of the best color to go with this dress? I would love to hear all of your fabulous
opinions if I should suggest nude, bright gold, pale gold (or should I just say any shade of gold), ivory, or silver. And if you have a chance please send me a link to some shoes that would be fabulous with this dress! Thank you for your help! I'll keep you posted with what I decide.

What about doing a camel sandal? Sure, it's a little more casual, but they will blend in with the girls skintone and everyone either owns a pair or should own a pair.
Or Target has these: http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=br_1_11/602-0705936-2048622?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B000IHFHHQ
Simple, pale gold heeled sandal for $17.99
I want my gals to wear gold strappy shoes and found these in NYC - they are cute, comfortable and now, on sale!!

Dresses are too cute! I like the ivory bow shoes, very cute as well!
Gorgeous dresses, your girls are lucky!
I would maybe get more specific, say pale gold or just gold, I think it would give you ease of mind.
Here are the shoes I sent to my girls (although, after looking at the Target ones, they are great!)

I like the gold but there is also a "yellow" leather & online it looks really nice and neutral. I wore these to the wedding in Atlanta last week in a really neutral silver (not featured online)
Good luck!
I love the J.Crew Lucie shoes! However, if you want them to use what they've got, better to go with camel, since there are so many shades of gold and too much room for error. Good luck. Those dresses are beautiful!!
All along, I told my bridesmaids I didn't care about the color of style of their shoes. But, one by one, they all got brown and I have to admit it looked great. So I would pick a color then send them an e-mail with suggested shoes. I think a taupe would look great. Here's a CUTE pair at Target:http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=br_1_21/601-2700057-6340112?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B000JR7CL4
love the dress! I was in my friends wedding last summer and the dress was almost identical. We were told to wear silver strappy shoes, it is looked great!! plus you can always use silver again, the gold looks nice, but it took attention off the dress and more onto the shoes.
I told my girls to get gold, just as long as it wasn't too flashy. They all ended up getting the naturalizer ones that I have use in lots of my outfits. Last year Target had an exact copy so it was a mix of the Target & Natuarlizer ones. I think pale gold is the way to go for the dress, which is beautiful by the way.
Your dresses are beautiful. I really think a pale gold would look stunning with the dresses.
Those are gorgeous dresses. I think the Target ones Preppy Wedding suggested would be perfect!
If you can fit it in your budget, I would recommend finding an inexpensive pair and buying them for your girls - I think it looks so much better when they all have the same shoe - especially with shorter dresses!
I thought I wouldn't care what shoe the girls wore when I got married but I ended up purchasing the shoe for the girls at Nordstrom. It was during th Half Yearly so I got a pretty goo price and I think that they were Naturalizer. The girls wore navy silk knee length dresses with navy stockings I just thought that it would look better if they had the same shoe. Actually one of my sisters decided on what shoe she liked and I bought the rest for the others.
I'm with all the ladies that say light gold. My mother wore the same color dress for my wedding and she wore ;ight gold shoes. She looked fantastic.
My girls wore tea length dresses and I had them wear gold nine west shoes. I think with shorter dreses it's a good idea to specify shoes since they will definitely be seen/photographed.
The girls above have made some great suggestions, good luck!
I was certain I'd be a laid back bride, but CJ, my style guru at the wedding shop where I bought my bridesmaid dresses, Charsa Sabrina in apple green dupioni silk, said I HAD to get them to wear the same shoes. With a short, or tea length dress like mine, the shoes are so much more apparent. She suggested these from Victoria's Secret...http://www2.victoriassecret.com/commerce/application/prodDisplay/?namespace=productDisplay&origin=onlineProductDisplay.jsp&event=display&prnbr=ZM-212193&page=%203&cgname=OSSHUSDLANK&rfnbr=3378 in taupe I think, but it may have been brown...they have very little material, so they're not very obvious.
They turned out to be a little tall for my already tall bridesmaids, so I bought a 20 dollar pair from rack room. I was looking for minimal material in nude. They're not what I pictured, but the color is so subtle, they'll highlight the dress more than the shoe. And a bonus, they didn't have to pay for them. Because they were so cheap, they were my treat.
Thank you everyone for all of the great advice. I'm leaning towards pale gold, but I'm going to talk to some of my girls this weekend at my shower. I have 12 bmaids, so I am not going to be able to buy their shoes, but I do appreciate all the links and ideas! Thanks!
Love the dress! And i also love how it matches your blog!
I do agree with the gold, and they would be shoes if they don't already have they can def. wear again! :)
