I spent 3 days in Nice and 3 days in Luzerne last Spring. Both beautiful places. If Nice is in your plans, you absolutely must walk to the top of Castle Hill, the most beautiful view. Acchiardo is a great restaurant in the old town serving local food to locals. When I was in Luzerne it was, sadly, rainy so I didn't get to do this, but I really wanted to take the funicular to the top of one of the Alps.
After the bar exam, I spent three weeks in Cannes. It was heaven. My husband and I also spent a week in Monanco, and that was sensational. I love that part of the world!!
i have been to both--lucerne is lovely no matter the weather, but such a nice winter destination. if you go to the south of france, i would suggest you spend at least a day or two in aix-en-provence. it is the most charming place i've found in the world.
Hi There! Lucerne is beautiful...I just spent a day there when travelling around Switzerland but it was easily my favorite part- quaint, romantic, and absolutely breathtaking when you're on the lake looking up at the Alps.
I've been to Lucerne and it is amazing! I went on a school trip while in college. It was June and it snowed in the mountains. It was so awesome for a bunch of kids from Florida to play in the snow in June. You should definitely go!
If in Lucerne, make sure to take the cogwheel up to Mt. Pilatus and the open gondola down (I think it's the only way), it's breathtaking. The lake is gorgeous and majestic with the surrounding Alps and all the swans lingering.
I love Monaco. Have a drink in the Hotel de Paris, a drink or lunch at the Cafe de Paris and people watch. Just across the street is the Casino, so try your luck! You will love it!

I was hostelling it, so not really honeymoon material.
