If you have not been to Lucerne , Switzerland yet, put it on your list! We had a wonderful time. We stayed here in a beautiful room overlooking Lake Lucerne. We did the golden roundtrip to Mount Pilatus. We started out on a cruise around the lake and drank a few Swiss beers. After the very relaxing cruise, we got off and took the world's steepest cog train up the mountain to the top! We hiked around a little and then we took a gondola down to the base of town. It was a great experience and the views were spectacular! We ate fondue one night, shopped around town and drank wine on our balcony! It was a fabulous part two of our honeymoon!
The view from the top of Mount Pilatus!
This is a hotel and restaurant on top of Mount Pilatus.
We got to see some real Swiss entertainment at a street festival and ate a Swiss dish that consisted of fabulous bread covered in warm melted cheese. Not sure what it was...but we loved it!
A view of the mountains and the lake.
A view of the lake from the famous bridge.
Lake Lucerne in the summertime!
A view of cafes along the lake.
The world's steepest cogwheel train!!
A picture from the train on our way up!
The hotel put rose petals all over our room. Don't you love the European style bed...not exactly perfect for your honeymoon...
Our beautiful room, complete with chandelier overhead!
A note from the hotel and me doing the same cheesy pose with my new wedding band! The note accompanied a fruit and sweet plate and a bottle of sparkling wine with bits of gold in it! We drank it one evening on our balcony.
Our fabulous balcony. I could have sat here for hours!
The famous old bridge!

It looks magical!!
I'm so jealous! I went to Lucerne about 10 years ago and fell in love with it. It was summer but SO freezing atop Mt. Pilatus. Such a magical place and I can't wait to go back someday. I enjoyed your photos.
OHH! (First time commenter, btw). Hubby and I went to Lucerne on our one and only trip to Europe and stayed in that very same hotel! We loved it and the city! Took the cruise around the lake too, though we didn't go to Pilatus. I wish I could go back!
Oh, those photos take my breath away!
Welcome Erin!
Your pictures are amazing! Definitely a different pace than here in the U.S.
