Nursery Art Vision

I have a vision. It started with this picture from Serena and Lily's website (which I adore.) See the painting above the crib--yeah it is fabulous. Well, I want to incorporate it into Baby U's nursery. But, I want the dog to be Daisy and I want a little more playful look. I want something in between the picture above and the pictures below. The below pictures are a little too playful for my "look that I'm going for." I want the nursery to have a preppy cute and classic look and I want a Daisy painting that incorporates something in the middle.

I found these precious puppies from this fabulous Etsy artist.

And this cute painting is at Ladybugs and Lilypads.

I could do a puppy picture like one of these:

Or a big girl picture of her in Central Park (need to take some more of those!)

Any thoughts or ideas?

Daisy is cuter than cute and I can't believe how adorable she was as a puppy! Who'd have known that little munchkin would grow up to be such a monkey muncher :)

Those pictures of Daisy brought a big smile to my face! She is so precious! I love the puppy pictures of her but her "big girl" pics are my favorite!
So are still going for the central park toile or did you change your mind?

I think your blog is so cute - I've been "lurking" for awhile. My sister Susannah paints and has done several oil paintings of pets for family friends. We have 2 golden retrievers and she has painted those several times. Her blog is here: http://susannaheckman.blogspot.com/ She is in college currently, so her prices are really reasonable. Her email is on her blog if you want to contact her!

I love Hramiec Hoffman's work and he has a gorgeous golden print. He can be found at: http://www.hramiechoffman.com/ I know he does custom paintings as well.

Budan Art (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=49305) on etsy has a style I love. I'm not sure if they do animals at all but it may not hurt to convo them and ask. The style would be perfect for a child's room.

Good luck and let us know what you choose! I still can't wait to hear about the nursery bedding. I looked at a few links (even though I am SO not pregnant) and can't believe the prices of cute bedding. It's amazing when you think about how short of a time you will use it for if you have a "girl" and a "boy" nursery. I loved the stuff you picked- I just didn't realize how expensive everything was! Yikes!

I love the picture of Daisy laying on the white rug from when she was a puppy! SO cute! I love the idea of having a picture of her in the baby's nursery!

I love it. I think it's a fantastic idea! I saw something similar on our trip to Charleston of a father and little son playing golf together. It would have been so cute!

I would try etsy. I was looking for oil paintings of dogs and several items came up where you can have the artist custom paint your dog's portrait!

I bet the picture would look more whimsical than the one in the photo if you just chose a more playful shot of her. I kind of like the older ones, but it is kind of cute to have a shot of her as a baby in the baby's room. I love it all! What did you decide about the bedding?

Also, how come on your blogroll my blog doesn't show how long it's been since my last post? Is that something I need to set up on my blog? I'm not doing the list of blogs because I'm following on google reader.

You really cant go wrong with any pictures of Daisy! She is gorgeous! I love this idea though, it is a nice personal addition to the nursery that isnt as common as some other nursery wall stuff!
