My Pregnancy Books

I wanted to share with you some of the great books we have collected (some we bought, some we received as gifts). Are there any others that we MUST get?

Also, on another note---blame it on pregnancy brain---I was so eager to post all of these posts that I have been working on that I did not take the time yesterday to say thank you for all the congratulatory wishes. Y'all are so sweet and I've read the comments over and over again! Each one means so much to me. It is such a blessing for me to be able to share my latest journey with each of you. So, thank you sweet friends!!

Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy

Our insurance company sent us this book after a VERY long and personal survey! (But, we love it!)

What To Expect When You Are Expecting

Hubby brought this classic home after we got our good news.

What To Expect When You Are Expecting Journal

My Mom sent us this fun book!

The Pregnancy Journal

My friend K sent me this one the day I told her I was pregnant! I love it b/c it tells you each day what the baby is doing and has space to journal.

The Real Deal Guide To Pregnancy

I scored this cute book from Ebay for $1.00!

I agree with the above comment...Girlfriends Guide is a really good one. I haven't had any babies, but my best friend and I read every book we could get our hands on both times she has been pregnant. GG was definitely our favorite. There's also a GG to the First Year.

Again, The Girlfriends Guide is by far my favorite. Comical and informational!

Ohh, well, I don't have any little ones and am not preggo yet, but, and this isn't a pregnancy book, but I have heard great things about Healthy Sleep Habits,Happy Child. A friend of mine gives it to every pregnant person she knows...

Congratulations!! I hope you continue to feel better--I know I'll be a wreck when we do decide to have children, I'll be sick, sick, sick, I'm sure.

Can't wait to see all the fabulous preppy items you pick out for your little one!

I think that The Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth by Henci Goer is very informative. Best of luck to you!

I loved the Pregnancy Journal. My sister-in-law gave that to me when I found out I was pregnant and I wrote in it all the time. I still look back at it. Enjoy!

Congratulations! And the Girlfriend's Guide was definitely my favorite. What To Expect was the most useful...but a little clinical. Have fun!!! Can't wait to hear more :)

I am glad you have found several pregnancy books to read. I don't have much advice to give, but I am looking forward hearing about your new baby!

I used the Pregnancy Journal, 10 years ago this summer, with Caroline. I loved it!!!
Someone gave me good advice when I was pregnant with my first...I think it is valuable so I try to pass it along to all my expecting friends....DON"T READ TOO MUCH...it will make you crazy!
Hope you are feeling well!

I highly suggest The Secrets of the Baby Whisperer by Tracy Hogg. It was a lifesaver for us. Wishing you a continued healthy pregnancy.

Congrats! I feel like i was just preggers and now my guy is 9 months old! Anyways, I would toss "What to Expect..." it freaked me out on way too many occasions!! I also swear by "On Becoming Babywise" - I would recommend reading it closer to your due date - it has made scheduling my guy a breeze...
