City Sights aka More Spring in the City!

Since you enjoyed the first post of pics so much I thought I would give you a few more from our little walk on Sunday. Also wanted to make a list of all the things I'm thankful for this week.

1) My little sister is coming on Friday for the weekend! I can't wait to spend time with her and do some touristy things. I miss her so much. She goes to U of A (a junior) and I miss seeing her as often as I used to. She is a fabulous shopping buddy and I can't wait to to get in trouble with her.

2) Next weekend one of my husband's good friends and his girlfriend is coming. We are going to go to a couple nice dinners and a play!

3) The NEXT weekend, my sister-in-law is coming. I look forward to getting to know her better. She lived in Miami (worked and lived with inner city kids) while A and I were dating so we really have not spent too much time together. She's two years younger than me and moving to Chicago next year to become a minister and finish up her masters in social work. We are very different, but I think we have a lot in common and I hope we can build on our relationship!

4) My LEGS are showing today. I have a SKIRT on. This is the first SKIRT I've been able to wear since September. It feels--well breezy and fabulous!

5) My little brother won an award for one of his websites. I'm so proud of him!

6) I've been feeling better lately. My Drs think that I definitely have a sensitivity to wheat and that is wheat/gluten was causing a lot of my problems. I have to get some blood tests done to see how severe it is. I've been wheat free for 3 weeks now (minus cheating about 5 times). The doc said I could add one wheat product a day back in my diet and see if my symptoms come back. If they do, then I'll have to stop---but basically I just have to be aware of this and not eat too much wheat. All those damn tests and I'm allergic to wheat. Go figure.

7) I'm still loving my new chair. I've agreed to recover my husband's nasty chair. He's so in love with it, the look in his eyes when I asked him to take it to the street was just so pathetic. I'm going to need your help with this one. Pictures to come.

8) I'm going to be on a beach in Punta Cana, DR in 52 days. Not that I'm counting or anything. Trip is BOOKED and deposit has been paid.

9) One of my best friends is having a baby tomorrow. That feels so strange to say. I'm so freaking excited though. I only wish I could be there to visit her at the hospital and bring her flowers.

10) My meeting is getting closer and I'm so ready for it to be OVER.

I am so thankful that the DRs have figured out what is wrong. I know you are so relieved! I am sure not eating wheat will be second nature soon.

The pictures of spring in the city are beautiful! It sounds like you have a lot of fun things going on in the next few weeks! Enjoy spending time with your loved ones.

Have a nice week!

So glad you know what's wrong - I'm sure the adjustment will be tough but just thank God for:

Flourless Chocolate Cake &
Margaritas (and other fantastically delicious wheat-free foods!)

I have enjoyed your Spring city pictures so much! Thanks for sharing:)

Great pictures!

I'm so jealous about Punta Cana. We were there two years ago at the Iberostar.
