An Early Visit from Santa

Hi friends! I know you just put out your pumpkins, but Santa is going to visit one lucky reader early. As you know from previous post, The Paper Cafe is one of my favorite preppy stationery websites. (See previous post Magnolias, Marriage and Manhattan: Spotlight Store...The Paper Cafe) They are offering one special Magnolias, Marriage and Manhattan reader a $50.00 gift certificate to get their Christmas shopping done early. This is my first contest so I'm really excited and thanks to Mollie at The Paper Cafe for making this happen!

Here's what you have to do:

1) Pretend like you already won the $50.00 and now it is time to shop!

2) Go to http://www.thepapercafe.net/

3) Ooh and ahh over all the fabulous things (be sure to sign up for the mailing list if you are interested in special deals)

4) Figure out how to spend your$50.00. Will you put it towards some cute photo cards from Whitney English or Hicks Paper? Will you get a Three Designing Women Stamper (they have Holiday versions too)? Will you start planning early for your annual Christmas party and pick the perfect invitations? How about an adorable personalized hand painted mirror by Stacie Brooke designs? Perhaps you'll keep your presents looking preppy with cute personalized sticker or gift tags? Or, maybe you'll pick a great thank you note for all the fabulous goodies you are bound to receive this season?

5) Next, come back to http://www.magnoliasmarriageandmanhattan.blogspot.com/ and post a link (or links) in the comment section (just copy and paste) to what you would buy and tell us why. The more creative the comment, the more likely Santa will pick your wish list! Happy Shopping! We will pick the winner on Friday, Oct 12th. HAVE FUN!!

PS. If you don't win, you can still get free shipping on your wish list during October 10-20th. Place your order, entering MMM in special instructions box, pay the normal product & shipping charges. Then, once your order is placed - The Paper Cafe will refund your shipping charges back onto your Credit card.

PPS. You can also get any of these three holiday deals from The Paper Cafe:

Order any Holiday Photo Card by TAKE NOTE! DESIGNS (marked TND) between SEPTEMBER 25 - OCTOBER 15, and you will receive FREE RETURN ADDRESS Printing on your envelope flaps

Order any Holiday Photo Card from WHITNEY ENGLISH (WE) during the month of OCTOBER, and you'll receive either FREE Return Address printing on the envelope flaps, or FREE coordinating address labels to match the photo card design!!

Order any Holiday Photo Card from HICKS PAPER (HP) during the month of OCTOBER, and you'll receive FREE Return Address printing on your envelope flaps!

I have always loved madras plaid. I would purchase the Whitney English placemats for my nieces and nephews. Two of my nephews have matching madras plaid shirts and this would be too cute for them when there is a family gathering.
Then for me I'd would purchase the Prep of the month calander

Not sure if that will work but they are blue and green address labels. I would have them printed with my name name (just got married Sept. 22). I accidently forgot to order our wedding thank you notes with our new name/address. So instead I know have to write it out on each card. If I had any money leftover I would order luggage tags with my new name for our future travels.

Giving presents is already fun for me but this **darling** Monogrammed Gift Wrap makes it even more so. I love their suggestions in the description -- will be a perfect envelope liner for my boring white work envelopes!

2 sheets for now, please!

Ok, Holiday time is always tough in my house. I am Catholic and my hubby is Jewish and there is a fight every year about the "holiday" cards being too christmas-y. So, I would definitely choose the stamper with the tree on it and as a compromise choose for it to say "Happy Holidays". http://www.thepapercafe.net/products/holiday/stampers/2995_3dwcs3513holidaystamper.asp

I love the WE P-2018 Retro Toile red and white photo card. I too was just married in August, and I am so excited to send out our first official Christmas Card with one of our professional wedding pics! Thanks for hosting the contest, great idea and great holiday stationary!

Since I have an obsession with perfectly wrapped presents and color coordinating everything that goes under it, I would have to get 2 different Holiday Tags (coordinating of course). I love the Red Dot Gift Tags and the Green Dot Gift Tags. Also a must have is a Holiday Stamper for my Holiday cards! I love the one with Rudolph in the center!

I would definitely get the personalized wall art - the one with the monogram. I would hang it in the nursery, so my daughter could look at it daily, and hopefully develop a love (like her mommy) of all things monogrammed! Gotta start 'em early!

OOH this is fun but hard but here is my decision -
I absolutely love the "Merry Merry Married"Christmas cards - I mean how perfect for newlyweds, and we are moving around Christmas/New Year so I would also order these moving announcements with our new place.

Well here at the www.greenmagsterpie.blogspot.com household, we would get the christmas photocards. We have 7 pets total. Yes that's right 7. 3 dogs and 4 super lazy cats. This year I have decided that the Chihuahua-Sophie will dress as Santa(a super cute suit that her granma jo gave her last year) and each of the other pets will have antlers made out of pipecleaners. Each pet will sit on one step going up the steps with Santa Sophie sitting at the top...not sure how long I can keep the pipe cleaner antlers on the cats or if they will wear them at all...but I will try.

Ummm, the real question is "What would I not buy on this website?" Everything on here is so perfect! Too bad I am not married but certainly when I am this site is going to be my number one place for ordering the necessities with my new name! I would purchase one of the return address stampers for sure! Do you think it would freak out my boyfriend if I went ahead and used his last name? Just kidding! I love the address labels since I am still using the ones from my alma mater from 5 years ago! Since I am constantly sending notes to people I would have to pick out some cute new stationary with my name or initials. Definitely a baby onesie for my boyfriends new neice or nephew that is on the way. Ooooh, and the Chrismas cards! On second thought, don't award me with the girt card because I am certain that it will end up costing me more money since you can't just spend $50!

I love the Preppy Christmas Trees! I deserve to win because I have a huge, huge mailing list, and a $50 discount is a start towards offsetting the costs of mailing to my family (my mom is one of 9 kids, and I'm one of 17 grandkids!) and friends. I think that Christmas cards, like correspondence in general, are a dying art. Still, they turn into such a production when you mail 60-70 each year! This year's card will also include a holiday picture of Max, the world's cutest lab puppy. Between that many photos and all the postage, every little discount helps! :)

I love all the Paper Cafe products -- I think I'll visit again soon for my Save the Date cards!

Dear Santa:

I have been very, very good this year. I work full-time (with a long commute) and try my best to take care of my family (cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc.) while making sure I shower them with love, which is the most important thing even though I am tired at times from being pregnant.

Since I am buying for everyone else, I thought I might ask for a little something for me to enjoy. I hope you can put in my Christmas stocking one of the fabulous stampers from Paper Cafe. They have such an awesome selection it is hard to choose just one, but I know you will help me to pick the right one. I would love to be able to use it at work and home to address my correspondence.

Wishing you the best in the upcoming season. We will have milk and cookies waiting for you.

Hugs,
S

I would order the Candlelight Green invitations, as my boyfriend and I are planning an engagement party for our great friend. She and her fiancee, also a friend of ours, are big foodies, so the party will definitely be of the dinner variety. My boyfriend and I would love to host a memorable, fancy party with every detail planned down to the invitations, as this is the friend who introduced us four years ago! The invitations would be the perfect start to an evening honoring our friends.

I am LOVING the office accessories. I work for a construction management company and my fellow coworkers (mostly MEN) love to steal post its, pens, paper, off my desk when they are in a pinch (i.e. too lazy to go to their own desk or the supply room). As such, I try to keep the girliest stuff ever around because no burly construction man would take my pink post its or rainbow pencil! As such, I would definitely purchase the Rainbow Pad & Pencil
http://www.thepapercafe.net/products/stationery/ensembles/277_rainbowpadpencil.asp

These adorable fun pads

And of course some thank you notes to thank all my coworkers for no longer stealing of my desk :-)

Above is the link to the "Happy Holidays Brown Border Photo card". If I won this is what I would order. Every year I send out photo cards and every year I am late because I can't find anything cute that I like! Then I have to have them printed with Seasons Greetings or something along that line, because Christmas is already over! This year though, since I have found something I love, I can actually wish everyone a Merry Christmas! :) And our black and white family photo would look soooo good on that card!

How precious are the Red Dot Gift Tags?? I want to make them my craft business's holiday business cards! They are so fun and would be adorable next to our check out at our holiday festival booth or tied with raffia on our bags! (and you could just write your To: From: message on the back side of them!)

Okay, so I was going to play this game, and I went to the Paper Cafe website. But they have so much cute stuff that I got all stressed out about making a decision and had to stop playing. :/

I love these address labels! My FH is in Iraq right now and when he comes home in December we will be living together until our wedding in June. These address labels would be great so that we could have some even though we don't share a last name yet! I love the yellow color too!

Oooo, I just love a contest...especially when it involves Christmas cards! Doesn't everyone just love to check the mail in December???

I absolutely LOVE the holiday photo cards I listed below (Take Note! Designs, red and gold border). As we have a large extended family spread out all over, the dated card serves as an update for those we rarely see. The $50 would help with the vast amounts of cards we must mail to stay away from being listed as the Family Grinch!

I also LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the monogram wall art in the pink polka dots. My daughter's room has green walls and pink polka dot bedding. It would be a grand addition to my little one's room.

Honestly, narrowing my choices down was difficult. I want so many things! So, it is with no shame that I say, "Pick me, pick me, pick me!" ;)

My best friend will be spending an year traveling around the world. I think it would be great to send her on her way with a set of the plastic luggage/bag tags--I'm eyeing the "Chandelier" design because it's cute but has plenty of space for all the necessary information!

I'd also get some "check the box" sticky notes (I love the white and green) and "don't forget" notes (pink and green) to keep next to my computer. I keep forgetting things...
