Dress Me Contest

I have a last minute request for my sweet readers. I need something to wear for our portraits in Central Park on Saturday! This is what Baby J will be wearing:

It's light blue corduroy from Bailey Boys and Emory monogrammed it. Cute, right?

So, what should I wear? I'm definitely going to do jeans and either gold/silver Tory Burch flats. I really just need a top. A classic sweater? Something with ruffles? A button down with pearls? Something classic, something trendy? Something pink or something black? If you can help me create my picture outfit TODAY by posting links in the comment section here, I will pick one of your options, order it today and send you a little thank you surprise! Thanks in advance for your help!

Jeans, black sweater, and a stripe scarf in multicolors.

I definitely think ruffles! Something like this:

or any of the blouses from JCrew plus an ivory cardigan would be perfect. I think black might be too harsh against the light blue, so I (personally) would stick with navy or pink under ivory or gray.

Love baby J's outfit. He'll look precious, as always! Have a great time. I'll say a prayer the weather cooperates for you :)

Black really pops in photos so that's what I'd propbably go with. Don't wear green, it'll blend in with the park and white can fade you out. Ruffles are always fun and a blouse is pretty too. Sorry, I was basically no help.

I love Bailey Boys. My mom is good friends with the lady that started the company.
Anyways...what about one of these?

Both are classic and modern and can be dressed up or down for later use.

You could also do a crewneck ivory sweater with a great scarf from anthro or a pashmina wrapped around your neck. I just picked up a gorgeous deep magenta/plum one from TJ Maxx the other day and LOVE it!

This ruffle top would be cute with a cardigan - http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/WomenBrowse/Women_Shop_By_Category/shirtstops/camisblouses/PRDOVR~17428/17428.jsp

either the sage or the lavender. That with a cardigan like this

dried orchid or buff pink would be cute with those tops and what J is wearing.

My links got chopped off. Basically, I like the ruffle cami J Crew Kelsey or Frances) with cardigan look.

I think that a great scarf with a cream turtlenecck or the Lilly sweater Lilly Pulitzer Shere Sweater Coat. These would be great picks. Or a longish cream Irish Sweater coat with a turtleneck underneath.

I would go with a classic button down (I agree with some of the above---black would be harsh with light blue)in a light pink

like this

http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/WomenBrowse/Women_Shop_By_Category/shirtstops/classicshirts/PRDOVR~12072/12072.jsp

and maybe top it with a cardi---layering looks good in pics

I wouldn't wear a scarf personally since I don't like a lot of extra neck bulk in pictures.

Pearls would be nice too!

I don't know what happened to my links, they look cut off so here you go again:

Oh no..it happened again. I give up. They were just basics from J Crew!

I would choose either light or a dark color, both will pop if you have any in B&W. Chocolate brown turtleneck would be a nice compliment to the light blue.

I tried this on this weekend and LOVED it. Totally slimming. With jeans and big pearl earrings, I think it would look timeless in pics.

I think something classic with pearls, possibly a black sweater. I say no to the pink!

I'm totally in love with this sweater from J Crew in grey -
http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/WomenBrowse/Women_Shop_By_Category/sweaters/jcrewcashmere/PRDOVR~18247/18247.jsp
It's a little pricey, but totally gorgeous. Can be dressed up or down.

I also love this ruffled cardigan from J Crew in graphite -

Good Luck!

Oh so fun. I think something trendy with a touch of class. When I read your post, I immediately thought of a top I have been wanting to buy...The Buyant Chiffon Blouse in nude from Anthro.
I also love the Reposing Cloud Cardi from Anthro (although the solid white might be a bit too much...I still love it) and I think the Merino Ethereal Ruffle v-Neck in buff pink from J. Crew would look fab!!! Can't wait to see what you choose...I know it will be beautiful!

I vote pale pink cardigan, possibly ruffled, with pearls. Classic and simple. Beautiful.

Definitely pink with pearls. Hey, you're from Alabama!! Or grey with pink pashmina. LOVE Emory's monogramming.

Nobody's mentioned Tory Burch-- classic but modern. Yes, it's a little pricey, but you will wear it everywhere this winter!
What about this one (if link doesn't work, the tory tunic in grey/pink):
