One Kings Lane Finds

Happy Monday! I just have to share with you these great One Kings Lane finds. A and I finally purchased 2 more chairs for our kitchen table this weekend (it only took us 2 years to find ones similar to the 2 we bought when we didn't have room for anymore than 2.) Anyways, A suggested I buy a nice tablecloth for our little table, so I spent the weekend checking out the beautiful linens at Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma. I was estatic when I saw that One Kings Lane had hemstiched linens on their site today! Check out the beautiful colors! they have 3 differnt size tablecloths, sets of 12 napkins and placemats. I bought the oyster white (classic) and the crimson red (perfect for crimson tide entertaining, christmas and valentines!) The prices can't be beat! If you aren't a member, rush on over there right now and join! Here's an invite.

While you are over there be sure to check out these adorable pieces! I bought the green and white one for my new coffee table. How cute and springy is that going to look on my table! I'm going to use it as a catch-all for magazines and "junk." But, I'm sure it will be used for drinks someday on our backporch. Treat yourself to one! The price is right! Click here to check them out.

HAPPY SHOPPING!

Spotlight Store-Scribbles n Such

Another long overdue product review....I'm getting there though! The ladies at Scribbles n Such, based in Dallas, have created some very unique stationary items. Their designs are fun and lively and VERY affordable. I had the chance to check out a few of their items and was quite impressed. I love the homemade look...I could almost pass it off to a friend like I worked really hard on their birthday card! =) Be sure to check out their $5.00 items! The price can't be beat!

Here are a few of my favorite items on their website:

I love their reusable bags! So many cute options, but this is my favorite.

How cute are these? They get me in the mood for a spring cocktail at an outdoor picnic! They would also be adorable for a little girl's birthday party or an outdoor shower.

I need to order some of these for my birthday collection. What girlfriend wouldn't want to recieve this sweet card in the mail on their special day. I used to be so good about sending cards. I need to work on that one again, it is yet another thing that has taken backseat to my little man (he's so worth it though)!

Adorable tiny notepad. Perfect for right by the phone or in your purse. So cute to write down a quick grocery list or a friend's phone number or address.

Another adorable reusable bag option. I still do not use these for my groceries. I really need to work on that! Their lunch size is perfect for those of you who like to bring your lunch to the office!

Their circle cards are cute and creative. They fold so you don't need an envelope. So cute! Love the aqua and red!

How cute are these tall cards? LOVE THEM!

Sweet postcards for a friend to let you know you are thinking of them.

Every preppy girl needs these thank you notes in her collection. How quickly do you get your thank you notes out?

Another fun thank you note option.

They have a great assortment of bag tags that you can write your own info on and they are attached with ribbon. Perfect for your diaper bag!

This is probably my favorite item. I love to write things down and this meal planner is perfect for my weight watchers diet. You have got to buy yourself a pad of these! So cute and so practical!

Perfect birthday cups!
Celebrate everything!

Little White Sweaters

Why is is so hard to find a little boys plain white cardigan sweater? Do any of y'all have any websites or stores you have bought one from? J just grew out of his and needs a new one to go with his dress clothes. We bought the other one in Memphis and they don't have an online option. Help!

I've looked everywhere! I'm also looking for plain white collared shirts (I like the onesie types best) to go under Jon Jons and longalls in the next size up. I normally get the baileys boys or kissy kissy ones, but can't find them anywhere. I need a Southern boys basics store in NYC! Thanks for your help!

Edit: Forgot to mention I only want plain white (a lighter material that is for very dressy outfits.) I don't want any kind of design and I'm not a fan of v-necks. I also need an 18 month sweater. =) Hello....PICKY MAMA RIGHT HERE! =)

The Big Snow

J ended up with a double ear infection this past weekend, but he is feeling 100% better now after 5 days of antibiotics. We all needed a bit of fresh air after a weekend inside tending to our sick little guy, so we bundled him up and but the boy in the bubble to go check out the snow in Central Park. We walked over to the Great Lawn...what a site! J was so happy to be outside for a bit, but he did NOT want to touch the snow. The kid does NOT like snow.

Big Apple Baby is Southern afterall. Not a fan of the snow.

Happy Again...inside and with a ba (ball)

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Baby J had me send this note to his Daddy today at work:

****************************************************************

Dear Daddy,

I hope you are having a wonderful 31st birthday! I wish I could spend the whole day with you. I hope they are being nice to you at work today. I had a lot of fun at gym class today. I went on the bars and the rings and jumped on the tumble track.

I wanted to do something special for you for your birthday. My favorite way to celebrate birthdays are with Two Little Red Hens red velvet cake and a balloon, so that is what I got you. Since I am not going to see you before I go to bed, Mom and I took some pictures and we sang to you. While she wasn't looking, I tested out your cake. The icing is good. Can you wake up with me tomorrow so we can share a piece for breakfast? Mom wouldn't let me have a piece, but I tried (see pics). We bought you a balloon. I started hyperventilating when I saw them. Mom tried to carry it home, but I told her this was MY BALLOON (for you, of course) and I held it the whole way home. I tried to "watch" it and take it with me to bed but Mom wouldn't let me. She's no fun.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy these pictures of our virtual celebration of your birthday! I love you a lot and I'm so glad you are my Daddy. If you want to come home early I'll be happy to share a piece of cake with you and let you hold your balloon (at least for a minute.)

Love you,

J
