A's Wedding Decor Part 2

Thought y'all would enjoy these pretty pics of the bouquets for A's Wedding Weekend.

Engagement Party Outfit

I mentioned earlier that I found a dress for my Engagement Party. The party is next Saturday and while it is dressy casual everyone tends to be more dressy then casual and I figured I could get away with this dress as the bride. Right? =) I was at home shopping this weekend in a cute boutique and I saw the Plenty dress that Mrs. P had picked for Preppy Wedding's Rehearsal Dinner. I did not realize that it is almost a pale yellow, not as ivory as it appears to me in the above picture (see close up pics below.) The material is almost like eyelet so that makes it a little more casual. Anyways, I tried it on and it fit perfectly and my fiance said I looked hot (sold)! Sarah over at The Seven Spot is wearing one of the outfits Mrs. P picked for my engagement party...so we are all switching around fabulous outfits thanks to our favorite blog stylist! I really want the Turq Diana earrings, but my roommate (who always keeps my spending in line) thinks I can find some cheaper ones. Is there any way to add some pink to this dress Mrs. P, or is that too much? Anyone have any other shoe ideas? Is a wrap my only options if ends up being colder? Do I have to go with Ivory? Next up...my Kitchen and Linen shower in April. It is a girly girl brunch affair and I need something pink! Lilly anyone?

Flower Girl Dresses

I thought I would start out this beautiful Tuesday in March with a picture of my adorable flower girl dresses. I have 4 flower girls that will be a part of my special day. They are all my little cousins and I think they will look precious in this great dress from Strasburg Children. They will each be carrying white hydrangea and pale pink rose kissing balls. You can click on the picture to get the direct link. When I first found the dress it was $186.00 and my aunts were pretty pleased. Then, the dress went on clearance and is now $86.97 and my aunts are LOVING me!

Didn't I do well capturing all the wedding weekend details that I know you all LOVE! I hope you enjoy the pics. I'll post more from the actual wedding and reception later. I had a wonderful weekend at home celebrating the marriage of one of my best friends. She's now on her way to Tahiti...lucky girl! The wedding was on Saturday and it was absolutely perfect and so beautiful. "A" made a perfect bride and was stunning. It was an emotional weekend filled with lots of laughter and a few tears of joy. "A" is one of my college friends and pledge sisters so it was great to have all the girls together again. For her toast at the rehearsal dinner 4 of us did the "ABC's" of the things her groom needed to know before they got married. It was really cute and we got lots of laughs at the insight only your college friends would share at your rehearsal dinner! The weekend was busy and crazy, but it was so much fun. I hope everyone had a great weekend too. I can't believe it is March already. My engagement party is in two weeks and I found a dress. I'll share later, I promise. In house news the inspection period is FINALLY over. We are just waiting for the appraisal and then it is pretty much finalized until the closing date in mid-April. Next week is my fiances spring break and we are planning on moving most of my things out. It is all so exciting!

Monograms and Mimosas Shower

I wanted to leave you with some great stuff for the weekend as I'm sure I will be too busy to post tomorrow being that is it my finace's bday and the day before my best friend's wedding! So to keep y'all happy on Friday I'm sharing a great idea that my roommate and her friends came up with for one of their pledge sisters. The shower was "Monograms and Mimosas," which is pretty much the most perfect shower for every preppy bride. Above you will find pictures of the cute decor and the perfect pink and green preppy invite from Whitney English (I have the exact same note cards for my informal shower stationary.) Hope you enjoy this fabulous preppy idea and have a wonderful weekend!

A's Wedding Weekend

I'm home tonight after a busy day at the florist! It went very well. "Miss Edna" spent about 3 1/2 hours with us and was so amazing! She listened to everything we said and was so receptive and very attentive. I feel very lucky to have her. We really figured out everything and I feel so much better. So, now I'm ready to concentrate on A's wedding weekend. We had a lot of tornadoes in our area today so my poor fiance waited to drive and is now driving as I write.

I wanted to share our bridesmaid outfits for A's wedding. Above you can see the silver shoes I ordered from Zappos (click on picture for link as always.) I couldn't copy and paste the bridesmaid dress, but the link is above. We will be wearing the pale blue English net on Saturday evening and I definitely got a spray tan on my milky white skin yesterday so I can attempt to pull that color off the 1st weekend of March. Spray tans normally do pretty well on me, but I figured by Saturday I would be just the right color for pale blue! Ha, Ha! The bridesmaid luncheon is tomorrow and the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner...so excited about everything and it is really hitting me today that one of my best friends in the world is getting married in less than 48 hours. Wow! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

My Wedding Bouquet

I made it home safely. Thanks for all the great comments on my cakes! I love the blog world. Here is a picture of the bouquet that I am going to take to my florist in the morning. I love it! My bridesmaids are wearing a light green color so I need to figure out what I'm going to do for their bouquets...which is why I'm still awake since I have to tell her tomorrow morning. Hmmm. I'll let you know what I decide.
