Baby Shower Dress Options

A group of my friends from the South are throwing me a shower back "home." Now for the perfect dress. Should I wear the one I already have (I'm not sure it will still fit in a few weeks though--I'm already running out of "wrap") or go for a special new number? After the shower we are planning to try to make it to the Alabama Homecoming game so that is why there are a lot of crimson options here. I have to admit, I'm not very impressed with the selection of cute fall maternity dresses. Have any of you preggo preps seen anything better? I think the 1st two are my favorite.

    I have found that dresses are the most flattering (and easiest) thing for me to wear lately... Altough, the selection of good (and affordable) dresses is hard to find. A couple weeks ago I got 3 cute ones at Gap, but other than that I have not had much luck. Not that I am cheap or anything, but I have no idea how large I am going to get and it makes me nervous to spend $$$$ on a dress that might only work for a month. Oh well.... the joys of pregnancy. Too bad we dont live closer - we could share!

    My favorite one you posted was the first dark red one - the one that had the knot wrap right at the chest.

    That's a tough one...but I think I like the first two as well. Plus, you'll definitely wear them again!

    This is tough! If you want to wear the dress you have but are nervous about it fitting, maybe you could buy your #1 choice and then return it if you don't need it. That way you aren't stuck at home without at a dress either way.

    Even though I'm an Auburn fan I think your Alabama pals with be totally impressed if you show up in the houndstooth dress! Throw on a crimson necklace and you'll look fab!

    Either the first or the last deep red dresses. Although I do like the dress you already have, but I understand the fact that it may not fit.

    My vote is for the red dress or the hounds-tooth. You are trying to pull for the Tide that weekend. The red may be the most versatile. They all are very cute!

    (Check the clearance racks in the back of Motherhood--they are business partners with Pea in a Pod, and Mimi Maternity. They sometimes have their items on clearance!)

    All your picks are super cute. I really like the second Milly dress, as well as the green turtleneck dress. You really can't go wrong with any of the dresses. :)

    Love the Houndstooth! Great for AL homecoming ..a little touch of the Bear!

    Just found your blog. I am from AL and miss the South so much. I am in Missouri now and they call that the south of course they have never been to AL!

    The Olian Green dress reminds me of something from "Church and State". I think it is so classic and gorgeous! I love it. Im not prenant but I want that dress! haha
